Metaltec Steel Abrasive meets SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) hardness specifications as-cast and does not require additional tempering. By omitting the tempering process, Metaltec steel shot is free of micro cracks and wears at a controlled rate, maintaining its overall shape and uniformity.

Metaltec’s low carbon, cast steel shot meets SAE J2175 cast steel shot specifications for chemical composition, hardness, density, sizing and general appearance.
